Students need to be qualified in beauty therapy/massage/holistic therapy/nail tech/tattoo artist/makeup artist

Course Overview
To teach beauty professionals how to administer their services safely on clients affected by cancer. Either during treatment or in remission. How to deal with cancer on an emotional level within the salon environment.

Learning Outcomes
On completion the learner will be able to amend their services to suit the individual client. Whether they are going through cancer treatment, a survivor or in remission. They will know how to communicate with medical teams should the need arise. Provide a safe space within the salon/spa. Understand on an emotional level, how to treat those, both patients and their families with empathy and understanding. Know how to recognise the warning signs of skin cancer and how and when to refer to a doctor. (Note: we NEVER diagnose only refer.)

Oncology Aesthetics Training for Hairdressers *In-Person*

This course covers the study of Oncology Aesthetics for Hairdressers and best practice in the salon space. Learners will be able to amend their services to suit their client going through cancer and after. If a service is not appropriate, they will be able to determine when it is possible. This course provides all theory and practical training for professionals learning about oncology aesthetics. On successful completion the student will be certified in Oncology Aesthetics with OTI International.
